A dominant field of deep black resin fills the upper portion of the panel, cut through by a pale grey and cream band that drifts like mist through the darkness. Below, fine gold shimmer pigment scatters across the surface, catching the light with a sparkle and depth that shifts as you move around it — a quality that photographs can only hint at. Along one edge, a raw, fractured patch of copper and gold breaks through the black, like a seam of ore exposed in stone.
