Canyon Bloom is an original botanical textile mixed media artwork created with layered fabric, Swarovski crystals, and Czech glass beads on cradled birch panel. A collection of cacti rises from a patchwork fabric pot pieced from warm amber, rust, and terracotta batik prints. At the center, a saguaro-style cactus is crowned with a crimson and coral bloom scattered with Swarovski crystals, while a neighboring cactus opens in a golden bloom, its center flecked with crystal, at the heart of the arrangement. Surrounding pads carry pen detail mimicking stitching along their spines and are edged in dense rows of Czech glass beads that catch the light, framing a soft magenta cactus bloom and a scatter of smaller pink buds throughout.
